Now let’s talk about the Priority Card.

This is the card that most people are talking about when they are talking about an access card at Disneyland Paris.

If you are interested in applying for a Priority Card, make sure you are clear about that when talking to any Disneyland staff member, as this card AND the Facility Card are both “Access Cards.” The Priority Card is, honestly, the easier one to use, so if you do qualify for both, you probably want to apply for this one.

The Priority Card looks like this:

Like the other card, your Priority Card will have a picture of you in the top right corner. You may also notice a little blue box in the lower right corner. This is specific to the Priority Card and we’ll talk more about it in a bit. The Priority Card will grant you priority, but not immediate (Disneyland Paris is very clear about this!), access to rides/attractions.

Let’s go back to our Star Tours example from before, this time with a Priority Card.

So, you’ve decided to go back to Star Tours! Well, it IS different every time, after all. This time, you walk up to the entrance of Star Tours, and notice that the estimated wait time is (still) 45 minutes. Priority Card in hand, you approach the Cast Member at the entrance to the priority line. You show them your card, and they (usually) ask you how many people are in your group. After you tell them, they usher you through to the line (for a total of five). As this is a ride, you are allowed to bring up to four additional people with you when using the Priority Card (and it doesn’t always need to be the SAME four additional people! You can mix and match each time). As before, you may need to wait in a shorter line before you access your tour of the stars, but it will be a much shorter wait than the regular line.

So, we see that the Priority Card is much easier to use than the Facility Card, and it doesn’t require you to remember when to come back to the ride. This is a significant difference for those of us with time blindness! Oh, and I should mention that, just like the Facility Card, there is no limit to the number of times you can use the Priority Card. You just have to ensure that the person whose card it is is there for each use.

Just like we talked about with the Facility Card, you will need to have the correct documents with you when you go to the Parks to be eligible for a Priority Card. Like before, it is REALLY important to have the right documents, and originals of the documents. Because even if you do qualify for a Priority Card, if you don’t have the correct document, you aren’t going to be getting one. So, it is best to plan ahead to avoid disappointment.

According to Disneyland Paris, you will need the following documentation:

Which is all well and good if you are a French citizen and have those documents. But, worry not! Disneyland Paris has thought of this. For those of us visiting from outside of France, head to this part of the Disneyland Paris website: https://www.disneylandparis.com/en-usd/guest-services/priority-card/. Here you can choose the country you are from (or obtained your diagnosis in), and you are given a list of the documents that Disneyland Paris will accept as qualifying for a Priority Card. If you don’t have a document from your country’s list, a Priority Card will not be available for you. However, you may still qualify for a Facility Card. If you do have a document from your list, please remember to bring it along with you when you visit the Parks to get your Priority Card.
