Now we come to the dining experiences.

These are eating experiences for those who plan ahead. Reservations are required.

In this guide, dining experiences are any food-selling-place that you need a reservation in order to get into, including some restaurants (Bistrot Chez Rémy), buffets (Pym’s Kitchen), and character dining (Plaza Gardens Restaurant). Ok, technically there are sometimes spots that open up when other guests cancel their reservations, but these are not reliable and all require lining up for a long time just for the chance to eat there. For those of us who need more predictability in our days (not to mention reliable feeding and watering), relying on going to any dining experience without a reservation is not the best idea.

With dining experiences, one does not simply walk in.

They can be fun, though!

The single dining experience we have experienced was the buffet at Pym’s Kitchen. We did this during our second trip to the Parks, seeing as we only found out about it during our first visit, and it was all booked up by the time we thought it might be a fun experience for the Expansion Packs. Other of these dining experiences include: Auberge de Cendrillon, Bistrot Chez Rémy, Captain Jack's - Restaurant des Pirates, and Character Dining at Plaza Gardens Restaurant. There are probably more of them.

If any of the dining experiences are ones you or your loved ones really want to experience, book them in advance. As far in advance as you can. Spaces fill up very quickly. You can book a table at any dining experience up to two months in advance of when you want to eat there. The Disneyland Paris website also tells me that you might be able to book these even further out than two months if you are staying at a Disneyland hotel. According to reliable sources (read: friends who have stayed at the Disneyland Hotels), you can book dining experiences up to 12 months in advance if you are staying at one of the Disney hotels.
